What regulations govern the life safety industry?

This thread is meant to list and discuss the relevant legislations, regulations and various Code Standards that are applicable in the province of British Columbia.
The legislative "ACT" that governs the fire prevention and protection industry is the Fire Services Act.

There are regulations that spawn out the the Fire Services Act that are important in order to understand each party's responsibilities.
The Fire Code Administration Regulation 161/2018 designates the Fire Commissioner and Local Assistants to the Fire Commissioner as the persons responsible for the administration and enforcement of the BC Fire Code.
